AUTHORS contenu (ca. 2003) boycott (ca. 2005 - present) README CORED.org serves as the virtual sanctuary for 'boycott'. I am a creative all-around individual who is overly passionate about デザイン [design]. I realized my passion for computer graphics at an early age, particularly in the realm of pixel manipulation – the most fundamental aspect of visual design. Raised around the globe by a career diplomat and his fine arts counterpart, I had the privilege of experiencing a diverse cultural upbringing. This unique background exposed me to multiple languages and allowed me to engage with a multitude of cultures. In the fall of '01, I moved to the Windy City to pursue my studies in Computer Science. It was during this time that I delved into the world of UI and UX, exploring the intricacies of how users interact with and experience graphics. Between '03 and '09, I immersed myself in the world of Linux and the OSS/Open Source sphere, actively contributing code and graphics to various projects, including renowned ones like the Gimp, Enlightenment.org, X.org, GTK+, and Freedesktop. I also ventured into the Linux Kernel, submitting a few small patches as part of my exploration into the open-source ecosystem; this journey allowed me to gain invaluable insights into collaborative software development and fine-tune my skills in open source contributions. After 2009, I worked remotely and contributed to the design of a custom Linux operating system. Subsequently, I joined a software development company working with Oracle, although it didn't align with my interests. I then transitioned into freelancing, collaborating with creative agencies, and working on projects with various brands. Along the way, I became a certified Web developer and, in 2019, achieved a diploma as an English teacher, showcasing my dedication to teaching and education. Since then, and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, I began contributing original stories and text to a newspaper. At the peak of the pandemic, I also taught English online to students from various countries, adapting to the evolving educational landscape. Interests: Collecting books, examining subjects such as the Arts, History and Mythology, a Renaissance man. I also enjoy collaborating on visual art projects and indulging in photography to a certain extent. Skateboarding was another passion of mine and I exercised it for over 24 years, it takes discipline. For more information you can look at my Areas of Research.
